History

The Warsaw/Kosciusko County Chamber of Commerce actually got its start in 1904 as the Commercial Committee of 10,000 Club of Warsaw. The organization was incorporated in 1911 as a chamber of commerce, and has had a continuing tradition of helping build a better community through enhancing the economy.

The Chamber has nearly 600 members, most of which are small businesses. The Chamber is governed by a 25-member board of directors representing various business types. These business leaders are a dynamic team working with various committees comprised of chamber-member firms.

The office is staffed by a President and three full-time staff members. The Economic Development Division has the Education Steering Committee and Workforce Development Committee as its responsibilities. The Community Development Division has Government Issues and Health Care Committees. Membership Development Division consists of Ambassadors Committee, Small Business Council, Golf Outings Committee, Taste & Trade Expo Committee, Annual Membership Dinner Meeting Committee, and YAP. And, the Internal Organization Division works with the Finance Committee, Internal Operations Taskforce and other Taskforces the Board of Directors deems appropriate.
